Tips to save water in the garden

With the cost of water continually rising and hitting us all in the hip pocket, we thought we would show you some easy ways to avoid hefty water bills whilst still preserving your garden.

  • Build your soil with mulch and compost, designed to retain water and prevent evaporation
  • Choose low water usage plants -such as natives which are acustomed to our dryer climate
  • Use soaker hoses or drip irrigation systems. which save up to 50% more than sprinklers
  • Use a water tap timer
  • Water in the early morning or evening. If you water during mid-day half the water will evaporate.

If you have any great tips on saving water, please email them through to sales@waterstore.com.au  so we can share them with other loyal customers.
