BENDIGO INVENTOR AWARDS

A unique formula for gluten free baking has won Bendigo resident Terry Hunter $10,000 for the overall best invention/innovation and the title of City of Greater Bendigo Inventor of the Year.

Luke Doran from White Hills has won the $5,000 Established category, for those currently trading in the market, with an improved heating system for wood heaters known as Turboheat.

David Sanders, from Wendouree has taken out the Rising category for an invention not yet to market, also worth $5000 for his Smart Options entry - a solar hot water system for rural and remote regions.

The three winners will receive mentoring from specially aligned business experts, and marketing advice, aimed at getting their invention onto the shelves.  The 22 entrants that made the final pool of likely winners will also have opportunities for similar mentoring and marketing assistance.
