Seconds Sale & Water Expo - November 2010
Monday, November 22, 2010 at 12:22PM The WaterStore Seconds Sale and Water Expo proved to be a great success again when opened last Sunday. The single day event aims to clear all slightly marked and overstocked tanks direct to the public.
“We received some great feedback on how smoothly everything went this year”, said Mick Sullivan Managing Director of WaterStore Poly Tanks. “We had learned from previous sales how to setup the area so people could select their tank, load them onto vehicles and pay for their purchase in a relaxed manner.”
By the end of the day, the constant stream of customers had cleared most of the stock and WaterStore had reached the targets set for this years sale.
“By having most of the staff ‘on deck’ for the day, it ensured that each customer was able to drive away with their purchase or easily place their order, which would be delivered during the next week”, Mick added.
“The site looked great...having all our stock presented in their sizes with the beautiful plants supplied by local Nursery ASQ Garden World really added some extra polish. We’d also like to thank Ray from Onga Pumps and Ron from Orange Pumps who had display's setup on the day”, praised Mick.
The Marong CFA were onsite to sell drinks and run a BBQ, which was looking like a MasterChef Kitchen challenge as lunchtime came around. The day helped raise funds for extra equipment for the local CFA branch.
WaterStore run Seconds Sales at Marong twice a year, and have been organizing ‘onsite seconds sales’ at retailer locations.
